 On Monday, 22 March 2010, Executive Chairman of IDFR, Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Hasmy Agam was a guest on RTM2’s Hello On Two (HOT) live at 7.55am – 8.15am. He detailed the progressive history of IDFR since its inception in 1991 when interviewed by HOT’s hosts, Doreen and Zamil. Y. Bhg. Tan Sri went on to elaborate on IDFR’s mission and vision. In the 20 minutes interview, he informed IDFR offers various courses for young diplomats to be in the forefront and face challenges protecting Malaysia’s foreign policy. |

 On Wednesday,17 March 2010, IDFR hosted a roundtable session titled ‘Australia and ASEAN: 35 Years On’. Her Excellency Ms. Gillian Bird, the Australian Ambassador for ASEAN and Deputy Secretary in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Australia), deliberated on Australia and ASEAN’s strong relationship of 35 years since Australia became ASEAN’s first dialogue partner in 1974.

IDFR and the Association of Former Malaysian Ambassadors (AFMA) organised a high-tea get together on Thursday, 25 February 2010. The guest of honour at the event was Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Malaysia. He had been invited to deliver a talk on ‘Reflections and Reminisces on Malaysia’s Diplomacy’.
