IDFR relocated to the former premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on 1 March 2006. The present site is also the official residence of Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, when he was Chief Minister of the Federation of Malaya.
