Course Name Spanish Level I 1/2015 Date 3 February-16 April 2015 Course Name Spanish Level I 2/2015 Date 4 February-17 April 2015 Course Name Spanish Level I 3/2015 Date 6 May-28 August 2015 Aim The aim of this course is to equip participants with the required knowledge to greet, introduce one self and others and to recognise the syntax of the Spanish language to form simple sentences. Rationale To be competitive in the 21st century, second language skills are invaluable. Students of foreign languages will have access to a greater number of career opportunities and develop an informed understanding of their own language as well as multicultural awareness. Offcers exposed to other languages and cultures will enhance Malaysian economic competitiveness, improve global communications, and maintain national, educational, political and security interests. Target Group This course is opened to all Malaysian government offcers. 92 Learning Outcomes By the end of this course, participants should be able: U To greet people formal and informally; U To ask for the well being and say how he/she is doing; and U To ask for personal details. Course Methodology The participants will learn through classroom activities and interactions with the help of audiovisual materials, practice sessions in the language laboratory and participation in the social and cultural activities of the Spanish speaking community in Malaysia. 2015 Prospectus
