Presentation Skills for Mid-level Officers 2026

PSMO main

The Centre for Languages and Cultural Diplomacy (CLCD) conducted the “Presentation Skills for Mid-Level Officers” course from 19 to 21 May 2026 at the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR). The three-day professional training course brought together mid-level officers, Grades 11 to 13, from various government ministries and agencies.

The participants who took part in the three-day course were from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Ministry of Finance (MOF), Malaysian Nuclear Agency, Tourism Malaysia, National Sports Institute, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, Customs Appeal Tribunal, National Sports Institute Kuala Langat and the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), among others.

This course equipped participants to deliver influential, high-impact presentations for senior-level stakeholders. The curriculum focused on translating complex policy positions into clear, compelling narratives tailored to professional executive settings.

To maximise participants’ communication effectiveness, they mastered advanced delivery techniques, including leadership presence, strategic vocal modulation, purposeful body language, and AI-assisted presentation tools. Through hands-on simulations, practical exercises, and constructive feedback, participants applied these skills in realistic workplace scenarios, ultimately enhancing their confidence, credibility, and executive presence.
