The Centre focuses on diplomacy and international relations, economic and trade relations as well as security issues. It aims to promote and accomplish high standards of professionalism in blended learning, training, research and publication as well as consultancy services. The Centre organises courses, intellectual discourses and lectures series such as the IDFR Lecture Series, Economic Diplomacy Series and ASEAN Ambassador Lecture Series.
The Centre also conducts topical and practitioner-oriented learning programmes under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) such as the Diplomatic Training Course for International Participants and Crisis Management Course for International Participants.
