Over the past months, IDFR has continued its commitment to enhancing staff skills in the realm of social media through two impactful workshops. The first, the Bengkel Pembangunan Penjenamaan dan Kandungan Kreatif untuk Media Sosial, held from August 28 to 30, 2023, at the Santa Grand Signature Hotel, saw the active participation of 20 IDFR staff members representing various centres and divisions. Organised by the Corporate Affairs Section (CAS) and featuring Mr. Imran Abdul Jabar, founder of Sifoo.com, as the instructor, this workshop centred around the theme Zaman Ini, Zaman Konten (This Era, the Era of Content), emphasising the crucial role of content creation in both professional and personal spheres.

The workshop aimed to address the contemporary significance of content creation, driven by the rapid evolution of social media platforms. Its goals included building trust through effective branding, generating valuable content, and enhancing audience engagement in the digital space. The comprehensive program covered a spectrum of elements, ranging from the importance of social media and strategies for brand building to tips for creative content development. Participants gained insights into the social media content development process, honed content and caption writing skills, and refined graphic presentation and video production techniques, all contributing to the credibility of their social media accounts.

Fast forward to the recent Social Media Enhancement Workshop (Intermediate-Advanced) held from December 11 to 13, 2023, at Lecture Room 209, Level 2, C Block, IDFR. Organised by CAS, this three-day workshop attracted 25 IDFR staff members. Building on the foundation laid in the previous workshop, the program focused on strengthening agency branding, improving content creation skills, and developing advanced social media management strategies. The meticulously planned curriculum included sessions on branding, content writing, graphics and video production, content management, scheduling, and the measurement and analysis of social media content effectiveness. Additionally, participants had the unique opportunity for hands-on experience through an outdoor video shooting activity, followed by a session on video production, review, and editing.

Both workshops, under the expert guidance of Mr. Imran Abdul Jabar, have empowered IDFR staff with the latest tools, techniques, and strategies for effective content creation and promotion in the dynamic landscape of social media, marking significant strides in elevating the institution's digital presence.
