Visit from the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) on 5th June 2012
A six-member delegation from the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) headed by Mr. Jabulani Ncube, its governing council member, made a study visit to IDFR on 5 June 2012.
The delegation was received by YBhg. Dato’ Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari, the Director General and other senior officers of IDFR. They were later given a briefing on the activities of IDFR which was followed by a discussion on possible areas of cooperation between the two institutions.
Mr. Jabulani Ncube stated that the purpose of the visit was to learn from the experiences and best practices of IDFR that are applicable for strengthening NIPAM which was established just a year ago in 2011. He added that the experiences of IDFR would be especially useful for setting up NIPAM’s own diplomatic training centre. In this regard, he invited the senior officers of IDFR who conduct training programmes to visit Namibia to share their expertise with the Namibian civil servants.
On the training programmes available at IDFR, the visitors were briefed that Namibian diplomats and other government officers could apply for IDFR courses that are funded by the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme.
