Foreign Language Level 1 Online Course for Malawakil Officials 2025 for Arabic Language is an introductory programme organised by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR). Held from 18 September to 6 November 2025, the course consists of 42 teaching hours delivered across 21 online sessions. A total of 8 participants took part in this training, representing Malawakil Yangon, Malawakil Amman, Malawakil Kunming, Malawakil Singapura, Malawakil Brunei, Malawakil Kathmandu, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). The course focuses on developing essential Arabic communication skills for both formal and informal settings, combining foundational language structures, practical conversation practice, and cultural insights to support officials in work-related engagements, daily interactions, and travel.
The programme emphasises accurate basic grammar, essential vocabulary, and functional communication strategies to build participants’ confidence in the language. By the end of the course, participants can understand and use commonly encountered expressions related to immediate needs, personal details, work situations, and routine daily activities. They can communicate and exchange simple, direct information and offer basic descriptions of their background, environment, and essential matters. Overall, this course enhances the professional readiness of Malawakil officers and ministry staff while deepening their appreciation for the culture, history, and people of Arabic-speaking countries.
SPANISH LANGUAGE
Foreign Language Level 1 Online Course for Malawakil Officials 2025 for Spanish Language is a foundational programme crafted by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) to introduce officers to the essentials of the Spanish language. Held from 18 September to 6 November 2025, the course spans 42 instructional hours delivered through 21 online classes. A total of 20 participants joined the programme, representing Malawakil Paris, Malawakil Lima, Malawakil Holy See, Malawakil Jakarta, Malawakil Ho Chi Minh City, Malawakil Hanoi, Malawakil Madrid, Malawakil Belgrade, Malawakil Tehran, Malawakil Abuja, alongside officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). The course provides a structured introduction to basic communication, integrating essential grammar, pronunciation practice, and cultural context to support participants in diplomatic and everyday interactions.
By engaging in guided exercises and interactive sessions, participants gradually develop their ability to understand simple phrases, express fundamental needs, and communicate in routine situations. The course emphasises comprehension, clarity, and confidence-building through practical language use relevant to work, travel, and personal communication. Upon completion, participants can convey brief descriptions about themselves, their surroundings, and situations commonly encountered in daily life. This training initiative contributes significantly to strengthening linguistic versatility among Malawakil officers while broadening their appreciation of Spanish-speaking societies and cultural diversity.
GERMAN LANGUAGE
Foreign Language Level 1 Online Course for Malawakil Officials 2025 for German Language is an introductory programme developed and delivered by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR). Running from 18 September to 6 November 2025, the course covers a total of 42 hours of instruction conducted across 21 virtual sessions. A group of 8 participants attended the programme, comprising officers from Malawakil Frankfurt, Malawakil Vienna, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). Designed to familiarise learners with the German language at a beginner level, the course integrates basic linguistic structures, practical speaking activities, and cultural elements to support participants in their professional duties and day to day communication needs.
Throughout the programme, participants receive systematic guidance to build a solid foundation in essential grammar, commonly used vocabulary, and functional expressions relevant to work and personal interactions. By its conclusion, participants are able to comprehend and apply basic phrases, engage in simple exchanges of information, and communicate needs in familiar situations. They also gain the ability to give short descriptions related to themselves, their surroundings, and routine matters. This course serves as an important platform in strengthening linguistic capability among Malawakil officers and enhancing their understanding of German speaking cultures.
RUSSIAN LANGUAGE
Foreign Language Level 1 Online Course for Malawakil Officials 2025 for Russian Language is a comprehensive beginner-level programme organised by the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR). Conducted from 17 September to 6 November 2025, the course comprises 42 teaching hours delivered across 21 online sessions, with participation from 15 officers serving at Malaysia’s embassies and missions abroad (Malawakil). The participants represented Malawakil Vientiane, Malawakil Astana, Malawakil Baghdad, Malawakil Bangkok, Malawakil Ashgabat, Malawakil Moscow, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Wisma Putra). The programme aims to equip officials with essential communication skills for both formal and informal contexts, focusing on foundational language structures, practical conversation practice, and exposure to Russian culture. It also supports participants in developing readiness for work-related engagements, daily interactions, and travel.
The course is designed to build participants’ linguistic confidence through accurate grammar use, meaningful vocabulary application, and structured communication exercises.
