The Centre for Leadership, Negotiation, and Public Diplomacy successfully conducted the third instalment of the Pre-Posting Course for Home-Based Officers and Spouses, from 16 to 26 June 2025 at Wisma Putra, Putrajaya. This course involved 68 participants from various ministries and agencies, namely the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, Prime Minister’s Department, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, Malaysian Investment Development Authority, Malaysian Armed Forces, Royal Malaysian Police, Immigration Department, Tourism Malaysia, Majlis Amanah Rakyat, and Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak.
The 9-day course was designed to prepare participants for their upcoming overseas assignments by equipping them with practical knowledge, intercultural awareness, and diplomatic skills. Through a series of strategic briefings, hands-on sessions, and engaging discussions, attendees explored Malaysia’s role abroad—particularly in diplomacy, consular affairs, and administrative duties at Malaysian Missions.
The course ended on a high note with a closing ceremony officiated by YBhg. Dato’ Agus Salim Yusof, Director of LNPD. In his remarks, Dato’ Agus commended the participants for their dedication and expressed gratitude to the speakers, facilitators, and the hardworking organising team for making the programme a success. The positive feedback received from participants affirmed the course’s effectiveness in equipping officers and their spouses with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their diplomatic postings.
