Dinner Talk By YBhg. Tan Sri Abu Bakar Haji Abdullah, Director General Public Service, Malaysia In Completion The Orientation Course For Heads Of Mission And Their Spouses

On 29 July 2011, YBhg. Tan Sri Abu Bakar Haji Abdullah, Director-General Public Service, Malaysia delivered a talk on “Perkhidmatan Luar Negeri Dalam Konteks Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia”. The talk was held in conjunction with the Black Tie Dinner to mark the Completion the Orientation Course for Heads of Mission and their spouses organized by IDFR.

In his speech, YBhg Tan Sri highlighted the important of cultural diplomacy and the roles of spouses in promoting Malaysian cultures, the challenges of the Ministry Foreign Affairs Malaysia as a center of public service abroad in facilitating other Malaysian agencies such as Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI), MATRADE, Tourism Malaysia, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Higher Education etc. He also touched on the importance of Regional Diplomacy towards ASEAN Community 2015 and to promote 1 ASEAN concept as highlighted by Honorable Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak during The 8th ASEAN Leadership Forum in Indonesia recently. Click here for full speech.
